JOINED THE NAVY AT 12 YEARS OLD. LOOKING FOR ANY STROUDS FROM YEALMPTON. HIS FATHER'S NAME WAS JOHN CROSS STROUD BORN IN 1834 MARRIED SOPHIA FROM CEYLON. JOHN CROSS HAD A BROTHER WILLIAM HENRY BORN 1836
