My father was Ernest Robert Cork known as Bob or plain Corky. He had a brother Bert who was killed during the war and is buried in Willow Grove cemetry in Reddish. He also had a brother Frank and a brother Fred. They lived in Bedford Street Reddish Stockport. Their father was William Cork who had served in the Royal Scots Greys during the 1800's to early 1900's Their mother was Hanna Gee and they married at Reddish Green Weslyan Methodist church. My dad Robert worked in the foundry at Craven Brothers Reddish until he died in 1946. |
