I'm trying to find out information about the Leigh family from Ashton upon Mersey, Cheshire. My great grandfather was named John Leigh born around 1862 and married Margaret Darbyshire. Thanks

Hi, i have a john leigh in my tree born around 1863 but i do not know who he married. I believe his parents were George and France Leigh and his siblings were Ann, Sarah and George.

As this thread is a year old it would be worth contacting Joanne - just click on her name and you got the option to send a message.

Hello, my paternal Grandfather was George Leigh born 1889 but I do not know of his parentage, or where he was born, only that he married Lillian and had 7 children one of whom was my father James. They lived in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffs

Regards Janet

Janet, you're replying to a thread that is nearly 6 years old and Joanne doesn't appear to be a regular user of the boards (only 3 posts to her name) so doubt she'll see your reply.

You could try clicking on her name to send a direct message. She'll be notified of this if she's still an active member with up to date account details.
