G'day from Western Australia I'm interested in the family background of Richard Shugg Trevorrow (b c1827, St Ives). Richard's parents are likely to be John Shugg Trevorrow and Margaret Lawry. Both born St Ives c1790. Richard was a Shipwright and lived in the St Ives area until migrating to Melbourne, Australia on the 'Kalmia' in 1852. On 25 Dec 1853 he married Mary Ann Oppy (nee Dodge) who was born c1826 in Co Cork, Ireland. However in 1845 & 1851 she was living in the Penzance/Lizard area of Cornwall. They had the following children: Margaret Lawry b1855 Joseph Thomas b1857 Samual John b1862 Elizabeth b 1866 Richard Shugg b1867 Richard Shugg Trevorrow is my wife's GGGrandfather. I''d be happy to share any info which may be of interest.
