Member Since: February 2007 Posts: 0 Send Message	Charles Ralph MEDCALF BORN C1826 in Essex, England to Charles Medcalf & Amy Maya Arrived in Australia prior to 1849 and married Eliza BARRAND IN 1849 in Adelaide. They had 10 childen, Charles Ralph, Eliza Agnis, Amy, Alice, Helen, Alexander, Susan, Emma Soophia, Ada Pricilla & Florence Amelia. Charles and his wife and son (Charles Ralph) moved to the Castlemaine area in Victoria, Australia in the early 1850's where he carried on a business as a butcher before buying a number of hotels.
