Morning Lorrraine - just to make sure that Eric sees your post, you could send him a Private Message by clicking on his name.

As long as GR still have his current email address, he will recieve a message that you are trying to contact him. It's worth mentioning to him if you do write, that he doesn't need to re-subscribe to reply to your PM

Lorraine, have you tried sending a message to Eric by clicking on his name? As you say, this was posted a very long time ago, and he only ever posted 3 times, so most likely will not see your reply.
You can also search for other members researching the family by using 'search all trees', found in search box above.

Trying to find info on my grandmother Elizabeth Jane Huckvale (nee Babbington) born c 1866 in Grimsby. Family tradition is that her father was a sailor, and various websites have turned up the name of Spencer Harrison Babbington who was a mate. Mother believed to be Elizabeth Salter. Is this familiar to anyone Thanks Eric Huckvale
