OPPENSHAW Trying to trace the Openshaw / Oppenshaw family from the Liverpool area. My mother's mother was Margaret Openshaw. Her mother had two sisters and a brother - Hilda, Elizabeth and James. Their mother remarried, surname was Arnold. Believe she had two sons from that marriage. Margaret Openshaw married into the Ambage family, Margaret died when my mother was about two. Mum had a brother who died a few days after being born - as far as mum remembers. My mother is Maud Evelyn Ambage, born 1921. Hilda married surname was Roebottom. Elizabeth married surname was Davis. Elizabeth had one son, Charles?, that went down HMS Hood. I believe she had two other sons. Linda Mahon |
