my name is Wendy, my father was born James Richard Russell on the 19th July 1914. He was born in Hackney Hospital to an unmarried woman with the surname of Russell. and was taken into my grandfathers home., in Tottenham ,North London. He was officially adopted by Harold Samuel Druker in 1930, when he was 16yrs .of age. He did not actually find out that he was adopted until 1951 ,when my Grandfather died. He did actually find the whereabouts of his birth mother, we believe she lived in Edmonton, north London. But through circumstances at that time he never actually met her. we believe that her then Surname was either Roper or Soper.and there were other children born in wedlock. There must be uncles or aunts and even cousins out there somewhere. Can anyone shed any light on this ?
