I have found a reference to my husbands grandfather in the 1901 census but we can not trace him back and I was hoping that someone out there can help me. We think that he was born in Hadliegh in Suffolk but we can not find his birth records any where. We know that he was a color sergent in the norfolk regiment in 1901 and he was living in Southampton but dont know why. It is interesting but hard work tracing family when you have little info. but people have to come from somewhere unless it is outer space there are records somewhere. If any one out there has any info I would be very gratful. THANK YOU.
