Thanks will try that. Just cannot get any where with any family of my gg grandmother Elizabeth ( Eliza ) Maughan nee MacKnight, it always seems
so much harder with the female side and because I think Elizabeth came
from Ireland its many many times harder, there does not seem much at
all on the MacKnight name any where. Just have to keep trying.
Kind regards
Jane.

Hi Jane, seeing as it's 10 years since Gillian posted it might be an idea to click on her name to try to make direct contact. She may not be checking for replies now (although it does happen, but rarely).

Hi Gillian,
I have just read your message re: Catherine MacKnight that you have mentioned
in your family, do your family have any links with Ireland. I am trying to find family of my GG Grandmother Elizabeth ( Eliza ) MacKnight she married my GG Grand-
father Robert Maughan ( down as Mc Mahon on the 1851 English Census ) and they lived in County Durham but they came over from Ireland, at the moment I am
sorry I cannot help with your family at the moment but if the family of MacKnight
could be linked you just never know. The only other MacKnight I know of is a Thomas MacKnight who lived in the same street as Elizabeth also from Ireland I
have tried to link them to see if they might be brother and sister or maybe cousins
but no luck as of yet.
Hope you don't mind me getting in-touch.
Thanks
Kind regards
Jane.

Looking for THOMAS SAMUEL BAKER and descendants of Liverpool. Thomas was born in Bootle in 1865, son of Samuel Baker and Elizabeth nee Hutchison. He married Catherine MacKnight in 1890.His father was born in Pudsey, Yorkshire. He and the family should have been in the 1901 census, probably in Waterloo, Liverpool, but there is no sign of them. I have names of the children, but don't know which ones were born before 1901. They were William (my childrens' line)Ralph, Jessie, May, Catherine,Robert and Fred. May's married name was Coplowe. If you think you might be related, or can shed any light on this family, please get in touch.
