Hello Sheila Would you please lokk in 1891 census for Edward Daniel Cartwright born 1868 in Tipton Staffs. At the time of the census he was in the 1st Battallion of the Grenadier Guards, which might? have been stationed at the Tower of London, although I am not sure about that. I don't know how soldiers are recorded in the censuses, have you ever looked for them before, if so, you might know where to look. Look forward to hearing from you Regards John

Many thanks Sheila for all your help with the Waugh family!!! Could I now ask you to find an Owen Cairns on the Edinburgh 1871 census. He should be approximately 14 years old. The rest of his family are in the Grassmarket area of Edinburgh without him. Either he is living with his grandparents, the Spearmans or he is a servant or something. If you could have a look that would be much appreciated. Regards, Matthew.

Hi Sheila! I am looking for a John Waugh on the 1851 census in Edinburgh with father John Waugh and mother Margaret Nimmo. There is a possibility of a brother Robert being present. If you can find him then is it also possible to find the father John Waugh on the 1841 census???? Many kind thanks, Matthew.

Susan, I did look for the deaths between 1841&51. I saw three for a Lydia Fawcett and many more for a James Fawcett. It is difficult without knowing the district. Hi Sheila, Do you think it is possible that they both died between 1841 census and 1851 census. It might mean I have only ten years to search for deaths.
