Margaret, I looked for the father Patrick Bray in 1861 and did not find him. I also looked at 1871 with no success. Sheila

Sheila, Didn't realize there wasn't any images. Could you check to see if you can find Patrick for me then? When Mary dies in 1869, she is still married, so I'm sure he's got to be around somewhere. Margaret

Margaret, there are no images on Ancestry Scotland census. If the mother Mary is listed as head there will be no husband. There is no other Patrick Bray with the family on the Index. Sheila

Sheila, Could you please check on something for me on the 1861 census for Scotland.............. I have an image for Patrick Bray age 18 shoemaker in Glasgow (with mother Mary and sister Alice, niece Elizabeth) adults are all born in Ireland. His mother Mary is shown as Married, but also as the Head. Since she is at the top of the page, it is hard to tell who else is in the household. I am looking for a Patrick Bray - he is listed as a Gardener on his son's marriage certificate in 1862. Could you please check to see who is listed on the previous page (I think it would be 5 - my copy is very blurry - and it doesn't have the folio numbers etc) Many thanks. Margaret
