Need help finding some PLUMRIDGES

I've just recieved a marriage cert (1862) for Rachel Plumridge, stating that her father was James Plumridge. I've got an entry on the IGI for the birth of Rachel (1831) which gives James as the father and Mary as the mother, but doesn't give any other info. I want to get back further with the Plumridges, but can't find the family in 1841, and by 1851 Rachel was alone as a servant. James was the witness at the above marriage, so must have died after 1862. Any info from the census' appreciated. Thanks all.

Liz Is there no occupation for James...Rachel's father on her marraige cert.? Have found a James Plumridge who is Captain in Royal Navy based in Falmouth...age 50. ( 1841 Census ) Has his wife and children with him as follows - Harriet Plumridge - age 35 Ann - age 18 - born Ireland Margaret - age 2 - born Cornwall Harriet - age 11 months - born Cornwall Have you seen this info. already ? By the way what is Rachels age in 1851 Census ? Jimbob

He's down as a Labourer, not very distinguishable! Sorry, she was born Hammersmith in London. I think she also had a sister Jane, born same place in 1828.

Maybe Rachel was with another member of the family? An aunt/uncle? Is that plausible do you think JAMES. Rachel was 19 on the 1851 census
