Hi Penelope Could you please look up the following names on the Scotland 1841 census? (I know these are fairly common names, and my details are very obscure, so if you can't find anything I completely understand.) Robert Wright -- born 1827, possibly from Glasgow, Scotland. John Wright -- born 1825, possibly from Glasgow, Lanark, Scotland. Jane Wright -- born 1823, presumably from Glasgow, Scotland. Elizabeth (Ann) Wright -- born 1818, presumably from Glasgow, Scotland. Ann Wright -- born 1817, presumably from Glasgow, Scotland. George Wright -- born 1783, Castle Hill (or Glasgow?), Scotland. These people later moved to Australia, but I don't know when. Thank you in advance. Lauren.

Hi Pen, My mother's great aunt Sarah (b.1856) married George Aldridge (b.1858) in 1889 after his 1st wife died in childbirth in 1886. She took on his children who included Ellen, Alice (my mother's adoptive mother) & George, but did they have any children of their own by 1891/1901? George snr. was living at 30 Myrtle St, Hoxton/Shoreditch in 1881, & probably not far away 10/20 years later. Many thanks, Kev

Added By Helen Crosbie on 29/12/2006 19:58:41 | Update Message | Delete Message Thank you for your offer of help. I am trying to find the parents of James Hulse born approx 1863/64. He was married in 1896 and his parents name is James Hulse (deceased) profession Shoemaker. I do not know where James Hulse younger was born or where his father came from. Any info gratefully appreciated. Thanks Helen. Sorry Pen, forgot to say who he married it was Mary Elizabeth Willday. He died at the end of 1898 so isnt on the 1901 census. They had a son also named James Hulse who was born at the beginning of 1898. It is really the birth of James who died and his father I'm desperate for. Thanks for your trouble Helen.
