Nice t see you back Pen, would you do an 1841 lookup for me please. Jane Lee born 1821 Salford, Manchester she could be living in Hulme in this census and be a widow. In the 1851 census she has son aged 9 but he shouldn't be listed in this one if age is correct. Many thanks Wendy

..The secret is to use one persons details at a time. Using the minimum of info is best. For example - catherine, born 1840, +/- 5 yrs Beth* (wild card*) as place names were often spelt incorrectly or mistranscribed especially the Welsh ones, lol. With regards to posting your message onto mine, pprint my message and follow the instructions. It might sound complicated - but really it's not. x Method for copy and paste:- Using your mouse, click down on the left mouse button HOLDING it down and dragging it down over the work you wish to move. This highlights the piece/text. Remove your finger Find on your keypad the control button (ctrl) usually on the lft hand bottom of the keyboard. Hold down the ctrl button and then type on the letter c Go to the page where you wish to add the piece/text. Click on your left button on the mouse again which will place your cursor where the script/text will appear. Hold down the ctrl button and press the letter v. The script/text should now be where you want it. Try it with this - see if you can post this on my thread ! Why oh why are all the names that I am researching mistranscribed ! Pen x Whey hey aren't i clever!!!!!! Thank you pen for being so patient and helpful - were you a teacher in another life ? - a good one too! Thanks - I'm going to practice this now at every opportunity. Best Wishes Jenx
