Hi Alicia Re James Rockett, Hawkchurch, Dorset. Thanks for your search. I don't really know which one it would be as on 1881 census James is listed as being 72 and on 1861 as born abt 1817. His sons were named George,John and Thomas so there is a possibility that he was the one born in 1819 and named his 1st son after his father, but that is all I have to go on, You are doing a great job, keep up the good work, Cheers Clare

He married a lady, Dorothy, in 1770, but I have no idea of her last name. I don't know his parents or if he had any siblings. He died in 1803 in Durham. Hi Liz and Alicia Thank you for your kind offer I am stuck with 3 things at the minute and have come to a standstill so would be really pleased if you could help with finding their parents :- 1st - James Rockett (sometimes spelled Rocket) born anytime betweeen 1809 to 1817 (varies on different censi). Born in Uplyme, Dorset and married Elizabeth - don't know her surname born abt 1821, Hawkchurch, Dorset 2nd - Mary Jane Armstrong, my gt grandmother, born 01/05/abt 1857, probably in Kesh, Co Fermanagh. She married in USA so haven't been able to find her father from cert. 3rd - Isaac (also listed as Israel) Humphry (also Humphrey) born abt 1784, Honiton, Devon. He married Grace Salter, chr 1783, Devon. Would like to find out who their parents were. Hope you meet this challenge, Cheers Clare Rockett
