Hi Lesley, Many thanks for your time, however I don't think it is her (Sarah Bedwell). Sorry I should have explained it better, sorry. In 1871 she is living with my great great grandfather Henry Humphrey born 1823 in Whitstable, Kent. She is listed as being married, aged 47 and relation to the head of the household is aunt. I'm trying to see where she fits into my tree as the surname does not appear in my tree so I'm now trying to find her maiden name. Also it is very strange her have your aunt the same age as you, isn't it? So I'm assuming to she would have been married in 1861. Many thanks, Fern -x-.

thanx for your kind offer i wonder if you could help find info on my grandfather, his name was Arthur Smith born 3/3/1894? or there about, he came from Lancashire and i think around the Colne area. His father was John Smith and on my grandad's wedding certificate his occupation was stone quarry man. I know he died when grandad was a very young boy,[ don't know anything about his mother] and he went to live with a brother , but he didn't get on with him, so he ran away to live with another brother i think from Heptenstall area. Arthur married my grandma Hannah Watson born 21/4/1899, at halifax register office on 23/2./1924, Arthur had previously been widowed don't have any details oif his 1st wife, but had 3 children Ethel William and Norman, anything would be most gratefully appreciated as i am stuck at a brick wall thankyou Gail
