Hello Loopey, can you find these for me? Help I need some intuition. Even though I have Ancestry I'm still unable to find the following in the 1851 census. James MvPherson born 25/71825 North Cray, his spouse Mary Ann McPherson nee Russell born May 1825 and their som Frederick John born 26/3/1850. In the census I did find their older son James staying with his maternal grandparents suggesting something was amiss. Any suggestions gratefully accepted. Regards Roy McP.

Hi Lesley, You've been a great help in the past, so here I am again! I'm trying to identify relatives of my gt gt grandfather ROBERT ENDERSBY. He was 58 years old on the 1881 census, born in Clifton, Bedfordshire. Can you find him on the 1841 census, and any relatives please? Thanks Mike Canny

Hi Lesley Could you please do a look up for me on the 1861 census. I am searching for Mary Ann Sarah Eliza Humphreys (Humphries) born 1837 in Stepney and residing in the London area. I don't know her husbands first name and she may even be a widow at this stage as she remarried in 1864. Many thanks Coralie

FRANCES *************** It sort of makes sence to me lol Well if the Marriage to Fanny is right he would have been 15 yrs old ???? I cant find Fanny in 1841 or 1851 :~( The 1841 I gave you has William (Snr) and wife Ann with their Kids.. Sorry they got me beat at the moment lol Lesley :~)

Frances Report 7 May 2006 18:45

Hi Lesley, What I have on William, from IGI, is Birth: 04 NOV 1789 and RICHARD HODGSON Christening: 21 JUN 1818 Sutton On The Forest Father: WILLIAM HODGSON Mother: SARAH ADELINA 15 SEP 1812 Ampleforth, MARY 15 JAN 1815, WILLIAM 01 APR 1821 If this William (1821) is the father on Mary's marriage cert then William (1789) aged '50' in 1841 would be the grandfather. For his second wife Ann HANNAH HODGSON Christening: 04 MAY 1828 Sutton On The Forest, Yorkshire Father: WILLIAM HODGSON Mother: ANN WILLIAM 18 APR 1831, SARAH 07 OCT 1837 I have found a possible marriage for William junior WILLIAM HODGSON Marriage: 05 DEC 1836 Bossall, Yorkshire Spouse: FANNY BORWELL ANN HODGSON & ELIZABETH Christening: 08 DEC 1836 Bossall, Yorkshire Father: WILLIAM HODGSON Mother: FANNY I have found deaths in the York district for William in 1839 and 1840 but not for Fanny. Please could you see if she is still around in 1841/51? I appreciate this is working from the negative but elimination could be helpful. I understand what I have written so I hope you do to - lol I know you don't want this one to escape!! Frances

Hi again lesley, Thanks for trying with the Taylor/Ford marriage, I wondered if you can try and find this for me which would give me a starting point of searching back for the taylors. i have been informed by my aunti that John Taylor died 21.12.1935 probally in the chigwell/essex area. Could you try and find the death reg for him, it may well of been registered in the jan of the following year being so close to xmas. Oh and knowing my aunti if its not 1935 it may well be a year or two either side, hope its not to much trouble. thanks roger

lol Frances.... I think this family is going to be tricky to figure out lol I cant see William being 16 when Mary Born especially as I seem to have her with William b;c1788 in 1841 aswell as you having her with him in 1851....It seems a bit young for William to become a father BUT you never can tell I suppose.... What a shame the 1841 doesnt tell us the relationship to Head... Lesley :~)
