thanks Lesley, this is the one side of the family that has been hard to trace. I to have struggled to find him on the census (being such a popular name in, and the place of birth not possibly matching) John and Elizabeth had 5 children, my line of the family constance taylor b1907 the others where winifred, albert, ernest, stanley I don't know if any of these where b4 1901. i have taken a look at the weding cert of constance, the fathers job in 1930 was a railway plate layer, the address 2 railwat terrace, grange hill chigwell. Chigwell maywell come under romford on the census. Sorry I don't have more info, I appriceated you may not be able to find it without more detailed info. thanks roger

MaryinSpain

MaryinSpain Report 5 May 2006 09:51

Hi Lesley It is that woman in Spain again - a very wet Spain today - shame I hear you say! Well, I had to send you a message to say I have found my husband Pauls half brother Peter in Texas. For some reason yesterday I just typed in Dunne on Google and I could not believe my eyes for there in front of me was Descendants of James Linnion Dunne. I sent an email and a reply came back within the hour from Peter's wife Jo agreeing that I was correct. So Paul has a half brother and 3 half sisters AND there is another James Linnion Dunne being Peter's son - so the unusual name lives on. Jo also sent me a photo of Paul's grandparents, two aunties and his dad as a very little boy. After all my rambling I just want to say again a BIG thank you for all your help - if it wasn't for you I would never have looked in Wales!!! Thanks again and bless your heart. Love Mary xxx p.s. You never know I may well give you someone else to look for!!

Roger Report 4 May 2006 21:01

Thanks Lesley, I am struggling to find a John Taylor c1867 and Elizabeth Ford c1867 marriage. Johns place of birth was chigwell essex, elizabeths unknown but probally the same area. Based on age I suspect the marriage would be around 1893 +/- 5 years. All my family know very little on the marriage, I myself have struggled to find out maybe a good pair of eyes will see it!
