Frances Report 5 Feb 2006 11:31

Hi Zoe, I am having trouble with William Strickland and his wife Jane. According to the 1881 census they were both born in North Yorkshire about 1840 but the only marriage I have found is in 1866 in Lincolnshire. Please could you look in the 1871 for William, who should be in Lastingham, near Pickering, Yorks. This might throw some fresh light on the family. Many thanks, Frances

Hi Zoe, Thank you for your kind offer. I would really appreciate a search for my ancestor in the 1851 census of Hampshire, Sarah LAMBERT, aged about 26, born in Southampton or Ireland. I have found her in the 1841, 1861, 1871, 1881, 1891 and 1901 Census, always in Southampton. She was sometimes Sarah Ann, and was born in Ireland, but sometimes gave her birthplace as Southampton in Hampshire or N[ot] K[nown]. Her indicated birth year fluctuates from 1822 to 1830. Thank you for your time and effort. All the best, Jeff
