Hi Jeanette, sorry bad news for you too................ have been through every James & William Clark(e), b. 1855-1858 in Kent, and none of them match with having the parents you named or the other brother of a close age, is it possible they had already gone to Scotland then? do you have them in 1871 / 1881 too? sorry Jane

Hi Jane Could you please look in 1861 census for William and Sarah Clarke. They had 2 sons that I know of. William born c1856 and James born c1857. I have both William and James on 1891 census for Penicuik, Scotland which gives their birthplace as Kent, England. Thanks Jeanette

James Kirk b. 1858 Stockport Cheshire John Henry Kirk b. 1860 Heaton Norris, Lancs. on the 1881 census they were living with parents at 65 Daws Bank, Stockport, Cheshiire. George A Kirk.
