Hi Jess This is one heck of a long shot. I am looking for a Henry Sockett. The only info I have is that he was a barrister at law. In Cardiff in 1831 he defended Richard Lewis (Dic Penderyn) who was hanged for a crime he didn't commit. Not a lot to go on I know but it's all I have. Chris

Hi Jess I think this could well be my man or one of the relatives. In my research shaddocks keep cropping up all over the place and I cannot quite tie them in. All I know is that his daughter Sarah married in 1850 and the name of her father is John Shaddock shoemaker. Thank you very much I am sure this could be him and it gives me a bit more to work upon. i have another Shaddock who originated from Bristol so I am hoping to link them together. Thank you again Claire
