Sue bad news, I am afraid..... no sign of them in Madely either. Also none of the ones I found in Dawley were the parents.......... afraid I didn't do very well. :-)) Gerry

Susan Nothing of your two love birds in any of the Dawleys. I did find a number of other Yates (families and individuals) amongst whom there were 2 young Bejamins (11 and 15). The 15 year old was a collier!!....... Of course, any of this lot may be related to your pair. I will look at Madeley when i get the chance. Let me know if you want copies of the pages with other lot in the meantime. Lemon, Teri and Lindy........... I will get to you asap! :-))

Hi Gerry.Could you look for John and Elizabeth Sankey please.Elizabeth was born c 1780 in Church Stretton and I believe the family stayed in this area.Many thanks Lindy

Barry Found them in Bule King, a street/place in Ludlow. There was only Robert, wife Mary, Mary and Sarah. No Caroline or Henry. I looked through the rest of Ludlow but couldn't find either of them. Gerry

Hi Gerry I would be so grateful if you could look for James Evans circa 1782 Wife Mary circa 1799 (Weaton Aston Staffs) children Jane 1838 ( born Middlesex) Thomas 1835 (born USA) Emma 1831 (born USA) Sarah 1841 so possibly not born on census They are most likely to be living in Priors Lee area Thankyou in advance, even if you can't see them, it is a kind offer best regards Glynis

No prob Beverley Yep, I looked at all Hill and Browns I came across.............. but not one Ann Hill or Ann Brown. A few Edward Hill but with different wives!! Gerry

I am looking for an Ann BROWN (possibly still using first married name:HILL) b. ca 1780 in Salop, Much Wenlock. 1851 details as follow: 1851 Census of Shropshire/Borough of Wenlock/Parish of Madely HO107/ 1989 pg 23 sched. 70 Madeley Wood: Edward HILL, head,mar.,33,iron fitter, b.Salop Much Wenlock Rebecca HILL, wife, mar., 28,Wife,Nurse,,b.Salop Madeley Benjamin HILL, son,5,scholar,b.Salop Madeley Mary HILL. daur., 3,scholar,b. Salop Madeley Isabella HILL, daur.,10 months, b. Salop Madeley Ann BROWN, Grandmother, widow, 72, Wants a Pension, (don't we all!!) b.Salop Much Wenlock In 1861, she is still living with Edward, who is her son, I think, not her grandson. Here's one..... Please take a look for the following family in Ludlow. Robert was a draper (and mercer) in the Bull Ring, Ludlow, so check there first. They may also be at (Upper) Gaolford, pronounced - I discovered when I visited- and sometimes spelt, 'Galdeford'. Alan The 1841 Census was not that refined......... the last column should say born In county or out of county and that is all ..... so usually shows Y or N
