Hi Tracy Thanks for the Ellis marriage look up. As for Rose and Arthur I think it must have been just before WW1. I know they had a son Arthur born around 1914 and a daugther Rosie around 1912/13 although I don´t know the exact dates. The husband Arthur was killed during WW1. As far as I know they would have been married in Reading as my granmother never lived anywhere else. Thanks again Jane in Sweden

I'm really hoping you can help in any way possible! I am looking for my nans parents birth and marriage records.. My nans mother was called Mary Fleming, we believe she was born in the Bath/ somerset area but not really sure?about 1900..she died in Wales 1941/42 not really sure!! my nans father was called Jeremiah Sallows but could be spelt Salloss as it is on my nans birth certificate but we believe he was a bigamist and so the name changes slightly.. Jeremiahs father was also called Jeremiah.. We believe that Mary spent some of her time in a convent before getting married!and we also believe that she had siblings one being William Fleming. Jeremiah married a lady called Elizabeth Hodgkiss and they lived at 67 Winchester stree Salisbury.. He was also married to my nans mother Mary Fleming and they lived together with there children at 5 crichton place Cardiff.. i now this is a bit messy so please don't hesitate to ask me any questions, but i'm afraid i don't have much on them!! many thanks kelly

Hi Tracy! I'm trying to find my great grandfather William Berkeley Blake born about 1875/1876. I've found him on 1901 census which states he was born in Liverpool(profession receiver L.N.W.R.). How correct that is I don't know. I have his marriage and death certificates(died 1906 aged 31 occupation as above). On his marriage certificate(1901) his father is William Blake (deceased) occupation engineer. On his son's(William Alfred Berkeley Blake- my grandfather) marriage certificate(1928) it states William Berkeley Blake was a ship's steward!Must be a mistake. Finding William Berkeley Blake's birth certificate has been a mystery to me since I started this family tree hobby and it is doing my head in so as you have offered I am going to share it with you !!!!!! Thanks Andrea. Also on 1891 census a John/James Ebbs, Elizabeth Ebbs and their daughter Eleanor Ann Ebbs aged 14 live in Mornington Street Liverpool. Does it say where John/James and Elizabeth were born? Thank you again.

Hi Tracy, First of all do you have Berkshire 1841? Do you think you could look up a few marriages for me. The first is Frederick Aldridge b 1881 Reading & Eleanor Ann Ferris (nee Absolom) b 1884 Reading. They were married some time during WW1. The second is Robert William Ellis b 1889 Aberystwyth & Rose Alice Smith (nee Tegg) b 1890 Reading - possibly towards the end of WW1 The third is Rose Alice Tegg(as above) & Arthur Smith Thanks for your time Jane in Sweden

Tracy, You are a Gem!!! and so fast too. Thanks a million for all the info, now I can complete my tree at least back to 1844 but no doubt I will uncover other anomalies as I dredge up the past. Very Best Regards, John Jackman
