Hi Tracy I'm trying to find out about my grandfather's marriages. He was born in MAWDESLEY, Lancashire in 1844 and according to Grave Records fom PARBOLD, Lancashire, was married to Mary (?nee Foster) born 1853, Died 28/7/1882 aged 29 yrs. His next marriage was to Alice (? nee) born 1848, Died 1918 Aged 70 yrs and also buried in the same grave in Parbold. Researching Ancestry, I found another marriage between John Jackman and an Ellen MARTLAND solemnised on 10/9/1884. Was this another of my Grandfather's marriages? and what was the maiden name of Alice?. My Grandfather died in 1917 and is buried in the same grave in Parbold. My father was born in Parbold in 1888 and I knew he had a sister Polly who died young plus a half-sister Bessie and a half-brother Edward.
