Thank you, although the Ann Hudd I am looking for was born around 1780, there's 3 Ann Hudd's to this family which can make it confusing, grandmother, daughter and grand-daughter.

This is a very old thread from 2005 so I doubt that LindyLoo2 will see your post.

On the 1851 census Ann Hudd born c.1821 in Horsham was listed as the wife of George Hudd born c.1820 at Bankside, Surrey.

This looks like a possibility for her husband George's death:-

Name: HUDD, George
Registration district: St. Saviour Southwark
County: London
Year of registration: 1852
Quarter of registration: Jan-Feb-Mar
Volume no: 1D

Hi, I also have the same problem, I am a direct descendant of Richard Hudd, the grandson that lives with her in the 1851 census - as he is my great great great grandfather.
Ann Hudd is my great, great, great, great, great grandmother, I can't seem to find much information about any other children she may or may not of had, other than Richard's father, George. There is also no idea of whom her husband may have been, and I am also finding it a great task to find out where Barset Watten is, so far I've narrowed it down to 3 possibilities, 1 of which is Watten in the Scottish highlands, or Watten in France or alternatively Watten in Austria.
I understand from the research I've done she was a landlady and shop owner, but I don't know much else about her.
