Chris I'm sorry but Ms 3541A/1 & 2 are not available on microfilm yet. It means the originals would have to be brought out to you and I don't have time for that in my lunch-hour. Sorry Lyla

Jill I couldn't see any records for St Barts Hospital but if you already have the death cert I doubt there would be any further details anyway. If there are poor law records they don't appear to be held on microfilm but I didn't look very hard. If you can find me the MS reference number on their website I will have another look. Lyla

When you have a chance I would be most grateful if you would check this IGI entry: 21 May 1843 Oliver DEATH s/o Oliver DEATH & Sarah baptised at Saint Botolph Without Aldersgate, London, born 27 Feb 1843 Oliver senior was later a police constable - I would be interested to know his occupation in 1843. He spent most of his life in Suffolk. Many thanks, Chris

Hi Jill It is the CLRO (Corporation of London Record Office) that has temporarily moved. I'm not entirely sure what records they held anyway. I've just added the link to the Guildhall Library on the front page of this thread. Lyla

Hi Sue Yes they do have the census at the Guildhall but you need to know the address they were living at. I also have copies at home and they are not in Saddlers place in 1851. Unfortunately there is no Saddlers place in the 1841 index. Have you tried looking for them on thegenealogist website's name indexes for 1851 or 41? The 1851 is supposedly complete but you have to pay a fiver. It will just give you the reference numbers but I would be happy to look up any likely references for you. Lyla

Hi Pat Marriages before 1837 are not much help I'm afraid. They were bachelor/spinster of this parish married by banns. The witnesses were Geo Yarrow (who seems to be serial witness for the parish) and the other one was too hard to read...maybe S. Cork? Elizabeth signed with her mark but Joseph signed his name so if you have anything else with his signature on it that you could send me maybe I could see if they look the same? Lyla
