Sarah Report 6 May 2005 11:00

PATRICIA found this possible on 1861: Mary Wilkinson 1805 Drax, Yorkshire, England Wife Sculcoates Yorkshire Ralph Wilkinson 1838 Hull, Yorkshire, England Son Sculcoates Yorkshire Thomas W Wilkinson 1841 Hull, Yorkshire, England Son Sculcoates Yorkshire Wetty Wilkinson 1807 Cottingham, Yorkshire, England Head Sculcoates Yorkshire 'wetty' is actually 'Witty' on the image...is it possible Thomas was known as Witty? just looked a huge coincidence if he has a son with the middle name 'witty' If this is the same one, it looks like he married more than once - can't find anyone listed as elizabeth wilkinson.

COLIN I'm going to need more detail from you to narrow down the right one - on 1891 I found these possibles: Palmer, Robert W abt 1872 M Rainton, Durham Son Hetton le Hole Durham Palmer, Robert W abt 1874 Fulham, London Grandson Hanwell Middlesex Palmer, Robert W C abt 1872 London City Son St Anne Blackfriars London Palmer, Robert abt 1874 Orpington, Kent Son Bromley Kent Palmer, Robert abt 1874 Lambeth, London Brother-in-law Lambeth London Palmer, Robert abt 1874 Stepney, London Son Mile End Old Town London Palmer, Robert abt 1873 Gravesend, Kent Son Mile End Old Town London Palmer, Robert abt 1872 Shoreditch, London Lodger Shoreditch London Palmer, Robert abt 1871 St Georges, London Son St George in the East London Palmer, Robert abt 1871 Westminster Son St John the Evangalist Westminster London Palmer, Robert abt 1874 London Son St Pancras London Palmer, Robert abt 1872 Godstone, Surrey Son Tottenham Middlesex this is taking into account that 'London' comprised various areas of Essex, Middlesex, Kent etc, and dates of birth on the census were only approximate depending on the age of each person on the date the census was taken. You do know you can access the 1881 census yourself for free?
