Hi Margaret, Please can i have abit more info as the Leeds disks are horrid. Do you have these people on the 61 census? ive found a George and Mary Ann Broadbent in Armley but the ages dont seem to match the years you gave, i have saved the image anyway for you to look at to see if they are yours. I found a George Applyard as well but he is classed as a widow and only with his daughter. Saved this as well incase he is yours. Let me know your email address and i will send these and if they are not yours, i will have another look. Regards, Claire

Hi Claire This is a long shot as your census is not name indexed. I need some Sheffield area lookups. There is Alfred Grainger born 1833-1836 and his father Samuel Grainger, cutler. There was a Samuel Grainger at 64 London Road, Ecclesall Bierlow in 1861. In 1855 he lived in 'Sheffield'.There may also be an Ecclesfield connection. Also Anne(sometimes Annie or Amelia) Maria Potter born c 1836. In 1855 she lived in Pitsmoor (Sheffield). Her father was Thomas Potter a clerk. Thank you. Bronwyn

Hi Bronwyn, I am really sorry but it will take me forever to trawl through Sheffield for you family without and address. I had a look for london road but it didnt exist on the 51 census. I look at Sheffield often for my own rellies so if i come across them at all i will certainly let you know. Claire xx
