Thanks Claire, I have saved the new Dunn information as it's likely their connected somewhere down the line! I wouldn't know another area of Richmond to suggest as all I have for the Browns is the 1871 census. Didn't want you to go off trawling for such common names as Richard and Mary Brown through the whole of Richmond!!! You are an ikle star x

Hi Emma, ive gone through all of Bargate and no Browns at all there. Do you think they could be anywhere else in Richmond? Dont know if it is of any use to you but i found another Dunn family which could be related to your Rebecca. They had the heads wife name as Rebecca as well, she could be the grandmother. Ive sent it to you anyway. C xx

I have received the image Claire, thank you - very grateful. If this is too cheeky then just tell me to shut up, but would it possible to look for said Rebecca's future husband's family in 1851? William Brown wasn't born until 1853 but would like to know if there were any other siblings living with the following in 1851: Richard Brown 63 yrs in 1871 Mary Brown 66 yrs in 1871 Bargate, Richmond Emma x

Hi Janet, Really sorry but went through most of Tadcaster and i cannot see them there either. There are loads of surrounding areas on the same disk as well but it would take me hours to go through them all. Regards, Claire

Hi Janet, Ive just gone through Bedale and all surrounding areas and they are not there. Did find 2 other families with some Backhouses in there though, one with a Mary Ann in Bedale and one headed by a George in Aiskew. Dont know if you already know of them or if they are any good but did save the images for you just incase. Well, will go and get a coffee and will then look at Tadcaster. C xx

Hi Claire, Thank you for this very kind offer. I am looking for a Rebecca Dunn who would be about 3 years old in 1851. I have her on all other census from 1871 onwards in Richmond, Yorkshire. Her future addresses were Bargate, Brandy Row, Gallogate and finally back to Bargate, all in Richmond. The place of birth on the census I have found is Richmond. Many thanks, but do not worry if you are inundated with requests. Emma

Hi Claire Jools and Isabel found their mother, and some siblings in 1841,51 & 61 in Masham, but not these two. I definitley know they exist as it is one of the few families in Pallots Baptism Index. I can't find Isabel anywhere after her birth. She isn't buried in Masham, Bedale or Tadcaster. Martha turns up in 1855 in Melbourne Aus in a marriage record. Definitely her as right parents. I can find the rest of the family in England in 1871 or 1881. I can't find her immigration record, but will keep trawling. The next family member to come to Aus that I know of was in the 1920's. The family makes a habit of having children staying with relatives. Parents married in Bedale, first two children where born in Tadcaster and the rest in Masham. I am hoping if I can trace these two I may find some clues as to where their parents came from via other family members. Their brother George may have been living in Aiskew in 1851. I didn't realise that Tadcaster and Bedale where so large. The nearest library to me with Yorkshire census discs is 700 miles away and I can't find any sites online. Thanks Janet

Hi Janet, Bedale and Tadcaster take up full disks each, are they more likely to be in Masham or has that all been searched? Regards, Claire

Hi Claire Could you please look for an Isabel Backhouse born 1822 & Martha Backhouse born 1830' both born in Masham. They aren't with the rest of their family in Masham in 1851. They may be in Bedale, North Riding or Tadcaster' West Riding. Thank you Janet

Hi Lesley, Do you have your Thwaite's on the 1861 census at all? Ive looked at Almondbury but it is huge, way too big to trawl through, Lockwood and Dalton seem to be sub districts of this place. Ive looked at the address that William is at in 71 but he isnt there. If you have them on the 61, let me know where they were. regards, Claire
