was wonderin if you could do me a search for my grandparents in leeds from what we know we think we have john grimley and sarah grimley (nee knight) at 7 tadcaster street leeds 12 and that was in 1975 so maybe they were there before then also we have a john and mary nelson at 16 tadcaster street leeds 12 in 1977 so maybe they were there aswell these are dates that were on the death certificates registered to these addresses would be great if you could find them in the 71 census or any other nelsons grimleys or mcguigans at that time in the leeds armley area thanks donna

Hi Sue, I would appreciate it if you could have a look for my 3xgreat grandparents on the 51 or 61 census: Thomas Day, born c1815, Colchester, Essex - Occupation Hawker. Harriet Day, born c1812, Hyde, Kent. In 1871 they were living at 38 St Thomas Street, Doncaster. Thank you in advance! Jo

KEVIN the 1891 is not street indexed. i found springhead, but no sign of lees road. i did a quick check on ancestry- no sarah standering listed. you might be better finding if she was married, sue.

stephen smith [!] amended. i found them on the 1871. send me your e mail address if you want the image. i looked through stubbin, hoyland on the 61- could not see them. in 1871 they were living in sheffield- so they might have been there in 61 {?} i can not see him on the 1881- but will have another look, sue.

Sue, If you have the time (and the energy, judging by the number of replies!), could you possibly check out some addresses for me, if they existed at the times stated. One is for 1871, and was 23, Manor Street, Leeds The second is also 1871, and is 56, Roundhey (Roundhay) Road, Leeds The third is for 1881, and again is 23, Manor Street, Leeds. I quite appreciate it if you do not have the time. Paul.

Yeah, it's Leeds in 1861... New Lloyd Street - George Taylor(45) and/or Joseph Siddle(8). On 1871, it's down as Municipal Ward of West.... Ecclesiastical District of St Simon. RG10/4564 if that helps. Thanks :)

Sue Lambrini Smith

Sue Lambrini Smith Report 19 Jan 2005 15:11

tracy- there was no new lloyd street in 1861. sorry, sue. [any other ideas ?]thye must have been built after 1861.

No idea what it might have been then lol Why did they have to live in a place that didn't exist? I think I'll leave this side of my family lol... I'm getting nowhere with it.

Sue, The name I am interested in is Heavyside, especially Thomas Edward and Isabel(la). The surname Allen may also be involved. Paul
