Hi Constance, When you have the time, could you please do the following 1871 lookups: JOHN NEEDHAM, born before 1837, living in Liverpool, Everton or Toxteth Park - all Lancashire. JOSEPH MOONEY, age about 4, living with father JOSEPH in Liverpool. CHRISTINE MELDON, age about 5, living with father JOHN in Liverpool. It would be nice to know if there were other children. Many thanks, Lilian

Hi Contance Would it be possible to try and look up Mary Bird in the 1861-1871 census. I'm not quite sure if it will be Attleborough, Morley St Peter or Morley St Botolph Norfolk. These places are all in the same sort of area. The last time that I have her information is in the 1851 Census for Morley St Peter Forehoe Norfolk. I would be really greatful for any help with this. With best regards David

Hi Victor I am sorry I cannot help with an 1861 lookup for the Clifford family as I only have 1861 for Oxfordshire and the latest census on Ancestry is 1871.BUT I checked 1871 and George and children are on but he is a widower and it would seem she died after the birth of the last child who was born in Woolwich 1867. So I looked for a death in of a Clifford female age about 35/40 and found this Sarah Ann Clifford age 39 March Qtr 1871 Woolwich Vol1d Page 616. It might be worth investing £7 to buy the certificate if all else fails. Good luck Mary

Hi Mary, thanks for the lookup. Just a thought that struck me - OUCH! Re Nikki's Ellen: she may have been disowned for going on the stage but work was erratic then just as now. She could have been 'resting' when she was a servant - the equvalent of temping, waitressing, barwork, etc for our present day actresses. Best wishes all Beth :)

Hello again Could you please do a look up for me for Ellen Eliza Backhouse. She was born in Bath in 1870, and was living in Cardiff on the 1881 census with her parents William and Sarah Backhouse, but she seems to have disappeared after that. There is a family story that she became an actress and that her father disowned. I would love to find out if it is true. Thanks for your help again. Kind regards Nikki
