Hi Sue Looking for any details on Acomb families in Nether Poppleton, in particular a marriage of James Acomb to Isabella (possibly Collier) c 1814, plus any baptisms or death records. It may overlap into Long Marston as well. Also, I have a marriage of John Cass to Mary Roundhill - May 1809 in Marton Cum Moxby according to IGI. Any help on these appreciated. Regards Pauline

Sue!! Penistone is a lovely market town about 10 miles south of Dewsbury at the most. It has a wonderful secondary school there (where I spent the majority of last year). It is on the A628 Barnsley to Manchester road (Woodhead pass). The A628 goes: Barnsley, Dodworth, Silkstone, Hoylandswaine, Penistone, Thurlstone, Millhouse Green, middleonoweear, Flouch Inn, dodgy cafe, Dog and Partridge Pub, middleonoweear, Dunford Bridge - then into Derbyshire thent'othersideopennines!! lol Russell
