Laurie Report 20 Mar 2004 12:21

Hi Lauretta, The only thing I found was on 1871 but the head of the house is not present. Amongst the children are Mary and William but neither are born in Cheshire. Mary is younger than William. Is this likely to be them? Laurie

Hi Elizabeth, I cannot find a marriage for Thomas but there is a marriage for Jane in June quarter 1859, Tisbury, Wiltshire 5a 401. It might be worth getiing a lookup on 1837 of looking on Freebmd to see if they have a marriage for Thomas on this date as well. On the listing there are only three names transcribed and two of them are women. Sorry I can't be of more help. Laurie

Hi Laurie, I am trying to find Elizabeth Baker, father is listed as Richard (well that is what the 1871 census says). She was about 6 or 7 in 1871 and 21 when she married in 1885 (to Charles Lewis). She was born in Bethnal Green and had a brother(?) Samu(e)l (sometimes the 'e' isn't there) two years older. I can't find her birth anywhere. If possible could you also look up Charles Lewis who was 27 in 1885, a wheelwright living in 23 Baxendale street Middlesex. Any help would be really appreciated. If e-mailing please send reply to my mum [email protected] Thank you Michaela

Hi Laurie Please would you look up John Dicker, he had two children called William Henry and Mary Elizabeth. He was certainly dead by 1894. His son was born in Cheshire but Mary married in London in 1894. I would like to know more about them possibly in the 1871 or 1891? Thank you

hi, I am looking for details of the marriage between John McKerrow b 1816 and Jean Sloan. Not sure of the date but there first cild was born 1835 in Douglas Scotland. I would reaaly love to get some info about the bride, age and parents etc. Thanks Gloria oops just read your message that it does not really cover Scotland. Perhaps you could try one for Kent Henry Gurr Reeves b 1803 m Elizabeth Black b1811 William Freeman b 1815 m Elzabeth Saunders all from the Maidstone area of Kent Thanks Gloria

Hi Laurie Thank you for your generous offer of look ups on ancestry. Does ancestry have parish records for St Mary's Selly Oak? If so could you look for a burial for Amelia Mitchell (could be Warner or Finton all 3 surnames appear on my grandmother's birth certificate) for Jan/Feb 1899. She was my great grandmother and she supposedly died in childbirth or shortly after but I can't find her. Thank you Ann
