A Henry Mann married in Leicester in Dec 1850, one of the choices of spouse is an Elizabeth Smith, maybe more than a coincidence that their son is staying with the Smith family and they name one of their children Kezia.

Just knew that I would have some questions.
I notice a Martha Mann born 1861 in the 1861 workhouse and a Martha Mann born 1875 in the 1881 census.
Were there two Martha Manns born to henry & Elizabeth. and did the 1st one die? When?

A Martha Mann died in Dec 1863 Leicester, unfortunately it doesn't give her age.

Thanks David - that makes sence Marth dies aged 2 and 12 years after that they have another daughter, who they also call Martha.

Presume -
John Clay c1810 Leicester, (uncle) is Henry Manns Dads? or mums? brother.

Do we know who he is exactly?

John Smith c1800 married Keziah Clay 25 DEC 1821 Saint Mary, Leicester.

In 1851 Thomas Clay c1781 is his Father in Law

Keaziah Clay Birth: 31 JAN 1802 Christening: 08 FEB 1802 Saint Mary De Castro, Leicester parents Thomas and Martha.

Therefore John Clay c1810 is possibly the son of Thomas Clay and Keziahs brother hence Elizabeths Uncle.

Jessie Elizabeths birth info can be seen on freeBMD Dec 1887 although her surname is spelt Urquart.

In 1891 she is boarding with the Hyde family in Vines Street.

For this to happen I would have thought her parents may have died or something.

There is an Urquhart family on various census living in Leicester St Margaret, who originate from Scotland, but can't identify a possible parent at the moment.
