How will I find out where my ancestors came from when they travelled to England from Ireland, they came over here around 1877, I know it was around this time as one child was born in Ireland abt 1876 Jane Allen (5) and her brother Wm (William) was born in Whitehaven, Cumberland abt1878 (3) - these dates and ages were taken from the 1881 census.

thanks
Catherine

Doesn't the 1881 Census give place of birth of eldest child and parents?
