I am totally stumped.

1851 census: Gloy Appleton 13 (George?)
Edward 8
Elizabeth 35
Thomas 2

Born in Liverpool, living in Liverpool.

Husband Edwin not with the family in 1851. He was in 1841 @ Bispham Street with Elizabeth and Adam.

If anyone could find Edward or Thomas I promise I will never ever ask for an Appleton look up again!

I know what happened to George. He came to Bristol and married Eliza Lane. Think he was baptised George Chambers Appleton and his father on marriage cert was Edwin a brush maker.

If anyone can find Edward or Thomas it may give me something to go on

Found a THOMAS APPLETON age 30 born Liverpool Lane living with wife Ann age 32. District of Toxteth Park Liverpool.
Many names the same but these two fitted the age and district. 1881 census

In 1841 George isn't with Edwin & Elizabeth, they have a son Adam with them. Reggie very kindly found a poss death for Adam. I tried looking under George Chambers in 1841 and found him the a George & Mary in their 50's and George would have been 4. I thought mmm could be grandparents but then some one found the marriage of Edwin to an Elizabeth toombs so don't know where Chambers came from..Totally stumped

I even had a look the other day to see if he was on the Brushmakers Index site (kiddiers list) just on the outside chance he was 'on the tramp' but no Appletons came up on a quick search.
