Confusion reigneth!!!

The transcriber has melded 3 (THREE) households!

The Shiptons are a separate household from the Ainsworths and Anne Russell, but the Chines (or Chinas) are lodgers with the Shiptons.

No apparent parents for the Shiptons ..... the reference at the beginning of the listing I copied above regarding name of father and mother is WRONG

THANK YOU Sylvia from Canada for your HELP....I had the brothers and sisters of David Shipton and was confused to the parents name ..his father died in 1886 and I am after a marriage to his mother Mary Shipton nee Oldham..Thank you for correcting the names of the household

Hi Sylvia...No a second marriage..I am looking for a Mary Shipton nee Oldham b 1852 Salford Lancashire. Mary Oldham married David Shipton in 1872.....Her first husband David Shipton died 1886..

Can't see anyhting.

I tried looking for Eveline or Emily, thinking thye might be with their mother.

The only thing I found was this, which I thought interesting in view of the surname!

Hi Sylvia, Many THANKS for the 1901 census record of Emily J Shipton....yes Emily does belong to my family...
On the second marriage of Mary Shipton nee
Oldham some family have Mary remarrying and living in South Africia I cannot find any English records which show a second marriage ...the second marriage could be in the surname Batchelor or very similar but I cannot find proof of this...Many Thanks once again

I did wonder whether Emily Oldham was connected to Mary Shipton nee Oldham, and that was why Emily J was working as Nurse.
