I have a Richard West Born 1816, Bidford, Worcestershire who married Barbara born 1819-1821 Defford, Worcestershire. I cannot find their birth records and I cannot find Barbara's maiden name. In the 1841 census they were living in Pershore, Worcs. and had two children, the eldest being 3 yrs old. Any ideas?

You won't find birth records...........the most you can hope for are baptisms.

Have you looked for the marriage on freebmd? It might just have sneaked in...............

One of the childrens B/C would give you mums maiden name

There is a massive database of Worcestershire marriages, (many not found in the IGI) in the Worcestershire Marriages Index on the FFHS familyhistoryonline.net website.

It's pay to view but well worth keeping a few credits just for those odd marriages that can't be found in the IGI.
