There is nothing for Hollybush Gdns in Bethnal Green. The only Hollybush/London results are in Hampstead.
There were Hollybush Gdns in Bethnal Green in 1881...perhaps the name had been changed by 1901.........

Hi Reggie,

I have never been able to find my Grandad William Joseph Turner (or his sister Mabel Sarah Turner b 1889) in 1901.

He was born in 1894 at 1 Holly Grove, Icknield Port Road, Ladywood, Birmingham.

His mother died in 1897 at Back 9, King Alfred's Place, Ladywood, Birmingham.

If you could check either of these I would be grateful.

Kind regards and many thanks in advance.

Amanda

Reg,
7 Bedford Place, Blackheath is the address on the death certificate. Registration district was Greenwich, all his life he lived in Deptford, and the only other place name I can mention as possible is Lewisham.

How do I tell what the civil parish was?

ErikaH

ErikaH Report 8 Jan 2008 17:55

Diane

Bllackheath was not a Civil parish......do you have any further details?

Reg

Diane

Diane Report 8 Jan 2008 17:52

Reg,

Please could you try 7,Bedford Place, Blackheath, and also tell me a reference point ie which road it adjoins, as it doesn't appear to exist anymore, and Greenwich borough haven't been very helpful.

I had someone die there in 1911, so it would have been in existence in 1901.

many thanks

Diane
