Hi I am trying to find birth certificate of mildred wilkins born c1898. Place unknown but could possibly be London. On 1901 census the only mildred has the wrong fathers name.Her father was called Arthur James Wilkins and on her wedding certificate he was an army pensioner. She married in 1924 to William Beasley in Bubbenhall Warwickshire. Is it possible that she was not registered ?

Possible that the birth registration somehow missed being entered in the GRO Index, but it would be in the local Registry Office.


Possible that she told a porkie on her marriage certificae, wither about her age or her father's name.

There is this one, in Yarmouth. The James is NOT her father, but she could have later used his name on the marriage certificate!

There is a birth for a Mildred Wilkins in 1898 in Wandsworth District
