Yes this looks like the one. the parents are correct, perhaps she changed her name from Ann. Can I show my ignorance and ask what is BVRI is this a free site? Thanks so much for your help

Tracey

A possibile problem could be that she was registered as an Ann and Annie was what she became known as I have examples of Harrys and Jacks who were actually Henrys and Johns.

I even have people who used their middle name instead of first name.

freeBMD does have Anns/Elizabeth Ann and Margaret Ann who could be candidates.

Births Sep 1863 Preston 8e 427

WILKINSON Ann

for example

Just a thought.

If you do order another cert perhaps you could specify parents names George and Jane.

No ignorance , Tracey. You wouldn't believe how many people ask what is BVRI.
British Vital Records Index, a set of 16 cd's that I purchased from LDS many years ago, no longer availabe , I believe, but the records are now on Worldwide Ancestry. Extracted from parish records.

I know her parents were George and Jane so according to the christening details Margaret kindly provided she had to be born before July 1863 so that narrows it down a bit. Thank you!

I knew about Janet but not James, he must have died as an infant as he is not on census.... but can now include him in my tree so thanks. Have found a possible birth for ANN on free BMD so will hope this is the correct one this time!

Thanks
