I would appreciate a search for:

Lowinger Wilkinson ... I found him on the incoming passenger list from the USA in 1914

I know he was born c.1891 in Durham and would like any information on his time spent in the USA.

I have all the other records for him regarding census.

I can see him going to US in 1910 and coming back 1914. Hes on the English 1901 census and it looks likley he missed the 1910 US census

Edit; Looks like he on his own and going to ? J A Harrisons. Box N? Jerome Idaho. Just looked again and the Harrisons above may be wrong..it could be S A Hannin as in the transcription??

Pleased to have this information ... helps pad out his story a bit.

I once had a worldwide subscription to Ancestry and was able to access a passport photograph and details of an ancestor coming back into the UK from the USA. This was in 1923.

Do you know if this was available as early as 1914 ? Hoping I might be able to see a photograph of Lowinger Wilkinson.

Thanks for all your help !

As you probably know, the Lusitania was possibly the first passenger ship to be sunk during the first world war. Lowinger missed it by inches.

Edit: Just noticed his physical description. I love all these little extra bits of information about a person.
