Please can you help. I am trying to find Richard Walter Wilkinson was born 13 Mar 1875 at 32 Chapel Streeet, Woolwich, Kent, England, son of William Wilkinson and Deborah Boon.
He married Ellen Woods 7 Nov 1907 in Fermoy, Co. Cork, Ireland and had three daughters- two in Devonport, Plymouth, England and one in Gibraltar.
I believe he was a Corporal in the Border regiment. However, I have been unable to find any military and death records.
On the 1911 Census I have found that his family were living in Wolverhampton where he worked as a general labourer at a pump works.
I have a newspaper clipping that suggests in died in 1913.
Any help would be appreciated.
Many thanks. Sara.

Hi Minnie, Thanks for the help.
The clipping was from a newspaper when his wife Ellen Woods died that has been passed on to me from family members. Unfortunately, it does not give a date when it was printed or where it was published. I can only assume it came from the obituary section in a local paper.
Regards, Sara.

Sara - because the 1911 census says he was an Army Pensioner his regiment must surely have a record of his death? It may be worth contacting them.
