My paternal grandfather was Ernest Wilkinson who married Ada Gales. They lived for some time at least in West Hartlepool. To the best of my knowledge there were five children; Norman, Harry(Harold?), Derek?, Roy and Dolly (Dora?). Norman was my father (b 1908 in West Hartlepool - d 1967 in Northallerton) and he married Jane Davies (born 1909 somewhere in Co. Durham). He lived at variously places in Co. Durham and at Thirsk, York, Scarborough? and finally Northallerton, all in North Yorkshire. That is the sum total of my knowledge of the Wilkinson side of my family history. If anyone can help with further detail I will be very grateful. |
