Can anyone point me in the right direction please?
I am trying to find out who George Wilson 1879 (born Birmingham married Elizabeth Bailey 1882 and had Albert 1902, Frederick c1905, George c1907 and Dolly 1915) re married after the death of his first wife. All I know is they went on to have 2 boys Alfred 1916 and Harry c1918 and that she was born 1900-1972. I would be very gratefull if anyone can help please, regards Donna

Thanks Vivienne, I'll try that. I tried family search but drew a blank. Thank again, Donna.

if the second mrs wilson was born 1900 that makes her only 16ish at time of marriage and birth of alfred

think the boys were prob born later

will try again for later births

was it only the two boys they had?

I wouldn't be surprised if Dolly wasn't his 2nd wife's child by looking at the age gaps of the children.

There's 8 years between George & Dolly & only one year between Dolly & Alfred.

Also what do you mean born 1900 - 1972? Do you know she died in 1972?

Ozi.

Possibly not.

Births Sep 1916
Wilson Emily Sedgwick Birmingham 6d 504
Births Jun 1920
Wilson Harry W Sedgwick Birmingham 6d 605
Births Jun 1922
Wilson Walter Sedgwick Birmingham 6d 425
Births Dec 1924
Wilson Lily Sedgwick Birmingham N 6d 551

I suspect that Dolly is a nickname so Harry could be a Henry.

Thank you, yes I found the Sedgwick Harry but couldn't find Alfred and I wondered if Dolly was the 2nd wifes too but can find no details for her either. My husbands family are vague about the 2nd wife apart from her dob which was 1900 and she died 1972.

I think you could be right about Dolly and Harry and the Sedgwick doesn't sound right.
George n Elizabeth details sound right for the wedding.

Thanks Donna

well if dolly is the second wifes child as suspected then she cant have been born in 1900 surely as she would have been only 15 and too young to marry??
i do have an idea but would need the second wifes place of death to even try it
also would need to know for def the year
and it will take some time
but hey ive nothing better to do at the mo except housework.heaven forbid!!

Pretty sure she died in Birmingham...
My father father in law is going to try to see if he can get anymore info and after telling him about the dates he gave me of Dolly, he too thinks maybe she belongs to the second wife and that maybe her dob etc are wrong. I'll see what I can find out, thanks Donna
