I was hoping if anyone could help me with some details on my great grandfather John Wilson and his parents/siblings: I have some limited information on him such as he married Sarah Shields in Liverpool in 1925. According to their marriage certificate his father's name was Patrick, (he was a dock labourer) but I cannot find any other information on him. I have no information on John's mothers. John's birthday was March 18th 1896. One of my great aunties said that John may have had brothers called James and Patrick and sisters called Nellie (Helen) and Betty (Elizabeth). But she did not know this for certain. The only other details I have on the Wilson family is that they lived in Burlington Street, Liverpool and that John died in 1973.

James Wilson is untraceable between 1891 and 1918. It seems he lost his wife Ellen, and his parents who all died between 1894 and 1897. He must have been devastated. Brother Patrick also moved to Wombwell, Barnsley,

I'm not sure if these details kindly provided are my relatives. As far as I know my great grandad was born in Liverpool and so was his dad. I know that great grandad's birthday was definitely 18/03/1896. How do I order John's birth certificate when I can't find any details of this birth of any of the search facilities.

Further to my request for information on my great granddad. My great auntie Marie, has confirmed that from what she can remember she thinks her dad definitely had sisters called Nellie and Betty. She thinks there may have been another sister too. She knows there were at least a couple of brothers too, but she can remember their names
