hiya im searching my family history. im doing ok but i cannot find my grandad DONALD WILSON he was born around late 20's early 30's? also he was either born in stevenage or london.he has 1 sister and 2 brothers. there names- PEGGY WILSON,.NELSON WILSON and BILL WILSON (not sure if short for william?

i havent a clue what his parents are called. all i no is nelson is the youngest and donald is the second youngest. he's still alive but we dont have any contact. Donald married margaret shaw in 1957. if that helps!

I'm just trying to search out some information for you. I take it that you don't have his mother's maiden name either.

no sorry i dont no the maiden name. i think the peggy you found isnt the one. Peggy got married and is now know as peggy taylor...
my dad has told me he is sure my grandad was born early 30's.

When you say London do you know an approximate wherabouts for him? What part of London or possible places? Sorry for the constant questioning.

sorry i really dont no. there was a chance the moved to stevenage from london because stevenage was were my grandads dad died.(year not known). my grandad was a navy nurse if that helps.
my nan was born in 1935 and he is only a few years older than her.so he should of been born 1931-32?

I'm having trouble finding records of the family but I did find a phone book record which shows a Donald Wilson in Hertforshire in 1967 (and before that). Lists the address as 108 Overstone Road, Harpenden, Hertfordshire.

I'll keep looking for you but Free BMD doesn't have Stevenage back far enough yet and am trying to work my way through for you.

Purchase the marriage certificate and it will give you Donald's age and his father's details.

You can do this online at www.gro.gov.uk The cost is 7 pounds and it takes about 2 weeks to be delivered to you.

When you fill out the form, it asks you if you have the GRO reference. Answer yes and put in the Volume and Page number above.

i have got some more info on DONALD WILSON.
He was born in waternstoll, london on the 7/7/1932.
but i still cant find the record of it. if you could try and find i would be very gratefull.

I can't see a birth for Donald where did you get his birth date from

Also i have never heard of a waternstoll in London so wondered if you meant Walthamstow which comes under the registration district of West ham
