Freewheel Report 16 Sep 2009 16:47

To help with your quest.......Mainsforth came under the STOCKTON registration district

Valerie

Valerie Report 16 Sep 2009 16:48

No he has no middle name ..i had to do three trees to try and get this far with the wilsons in Middlesbrough..

Freewheel Report 16 Sep 2009 16:53

Check my posting - the sister in law is a widow

And I'm not convinced that her correct surname is Furnhill - the enumerator's writing is somewhat 'flowery'

Re the sister-in-law Mary Furnhill on 1851.

I agree with Freewheel, I don't think it is Furnhill - I read it as Turnbull.

She is also born in the same place as Ana so looks like she would probably be her sister (John's sister-in-law)

Therefore we need a marriage of John to Ana and of a Mr. Turnbull to Mary (with the same maiden name as Ana.) ..... If you see what I mean?

OOps Barry - Sorry, I didn't see your post above when I added this but I agree with you that the name looks like Turnbull.

Too tired to look further tonight but will have a look again tomorrow.
