Find Ancestors

Hi,

I am trying to trace my Great Uncle Claude Gabriel Wilson. He was born in Ireland in 1920 (Dublin). I know he worked in Hong Kong as a Prison guard. I also know he travelled frequently from Southampton to Hong kong and back and forth.

I did find a Charles G Wilson living in Southampton and I wrote to the address but they sent the letter back saying he was deceased. But according to the BMD in England there is no death cert for him.

Can someone really help me, his sister (my grandmother ) is now 96 and they havent seen each other for about 50 years.

No,,he is not with the others but travels alone,just been transcribed with them as they have the same Surname.

Address 39 Lupin Road ,Basset

And says he is getting off at Singapore and his intended permanant address is "Malaya"

Came back for 7 nights in 1955 and still Single

That is about it.

I would think he died in Malaya as that is where he seems to have made his home.

I do not know how to search records for there,but I imagine it would be quite difficult.

Unless he retired back to Ireland?

Personnel file maybe,but again I wouldnt know how.
